so the pack to beat the hawks and the jags to beat the pats (hopefully)!
anyone else getting ready for a late one?
I'm a Packers fan and I reckon we are just about favourites against the Seahawks. They weren't that impressive against the Redskins and if we can get a bit of run going it should be comfortable.
As for the Jags Pats it should be a really good game. My only worry is that whilst the Jags are amazing against the run they're not as hot on the pass and if Brady and Moss do they're normal thing they could well build a lead and I'm not sure Garrard has the stuff to play catch up against the Pats.
6 games against dolphins, jets & bills almost guarantess 6 wins then the rest of the schedule was pretty easy. I like the way the Jags play and would love to see them do it.
Good ol' grey beard, go the pack!
but I don't see the Pats being beaten. They seem to resilient and immune to complancency to let the season slip. Their 4th quarter displays against the Giants and the Colts didn't demonstrate how vulnerable they are, it showed how impenetratable they are this year. The Jags would have to score 35+ to beat this team and that won't happen.
As for Hawks-Packers, no neutral could not want Favre to get his team through.
Check out the the amount of team they walloped that ended up with winning records
That's money in the bank! ($20 big 'uns on NY. Hating the Cowboys is just a bonus here.)
I'm tempted to take Jax and the points but it could actually be a blowout... so pass.
Despite a soft spot for Favre (Packers) I'm rooting for Seahawks.
Also rooting for SD Chargers (local proximity 'n all) though the Colts will probably win easily.
Even though the Giants have been proper Manchester City all season what with Manning's arm not being all it could be and the likes of Shockey out, I still like them over the Cowboys.
And I like the Packers because I like Brett Favre and want to see him happy.
but after a shakey first 5 minutes the Pack were awesome tonight, Grant especially. Just a shame it doesn't snow in Dallas, guess I'll have to root for the Giants.
i don't understand how anyone can possibly suggest that the patriots won't win. When it comes to the fourth quarter and they're down by 10, i'd probably still take Brady and co in a bet. I loathe the Patriots like I loathe Man Utd, but i'm under no illusions to the inevitability of their final victory in the Superbowl.
really should win the super bowl but if pollard could catch the Jags would have kept in that game.
Snow game in the playoffs i couldn't have been happier! Well maybe if the Falcs had been there.
The Chargers, admittedly, don't stand a chance if they somehow beat Indy. The Colts have matched the Pats so often in the recent past and are just quietly moving their way to the AFC championship game, I think they'll beat the Patriots next week.
Moss though - 1 Rec for 14 yards. Amazing the amount of talent they have in store. Brady's 26/28 was mindblowing as well.
left the short stuff open. Garrard was really impressive and the Pat D is definitely overrated, their offense has hidden some serious weakenesses all year.
Is TO playing tonight? Though to be fair i think the Boys could beat the Giants without him i can't see the Dallas O line allowing the penetration the Giants got most of the year and with time Romo will just about get it done.
As a Bills fan, if our offense had the kind of "serious weaknesses" that the Patriots have, i'd be jumping over the moon all season...
however, two of the most disappointing teams the Ravens and the Bengals put up some big numbers against the "top" defense. McGahee had a 100+ game and Palmer threw for 200+ yds.
But saying that i'd take some of those players to the Georgia dome quite happily.
i mean they won 10 of their games by more than 20 points...and scored 30 points 12 times (plus again last night)
i take your point about their rushing defence not being all that, but they still only conceded 13 points against the Bungles. Their linebackers may pretty slow but they still manage to be in the right place at the right time more often than not!
but i just think that they are a really good team in amongst a load of awful teams, the NFC is really poor so no threat in the superbowl, their division is poor which guarantees homefield throughout the playoffs. I just want to hate them really...
Just. Stop. Winning. So annoying.
the blizzard during the packers game was immense
i reckon the pats can do it, but their defence isn't all that great
now my wallpaper...
is a cracker, could go either way still.
