He seems to me to make a fair assessment of the situation:
I'm aware it's correct etiquette for anyone on the left to criticise America (and specifically) Bush for absolutely everything they do however rational. I'm a traitor to my politics...
what the solution is.

Mainly got them to stop fighting the Egyptians. He then threw himself into the two-state solution and Palestinian rights after being kicked out of the Oval Office.

Reagan said "I was there" and that that he himself had assisted personally at the liberation of Nazi death camps; in fact, he was in a film unit in Hollywood that processed raw footage it received from Europe for newsreels, but Reagan was not in Europe itself during the war.

and as far as I am aware the U.S. didn't run a concentration camp for the Sandinistas.

I'm sure the Reagan Administration funnelled enough arms to Israel to make up for that

Maybe he just doesn't care anymore, reaching the end of his time in office and all that.
But it's good to hear, especially from him of all people.
Well I've always wondered how much of his policy towards the Middle East situation was actually him and not other constraints forcing his hand...
for a while, to be fair to him.
so i chose to hear him telling the palestinians to get the heck out, and it made me feel safer.
but seriously, it's a good thing, i'm actually impressed with something he's done. but it won't help i shouldn't have thought
