My kids are going to be great.
I never cease to be appalled by the notion that a curiously unusual spelling of a common name is somehow meant to make it exotic.
The name still sounds the same but the bearer has to go through life saying "er no actually its got 3 'e's - and no, I don't know what my parents were thinking either".
And Alfie, Teddy, Bertie, Honey.
It's gonna spend most of it's life as an adult, you know!
once your in circles where you meet kids (i have two below the age of 4) you see how many jacks there are out there. loads.
most common kids names at the moment, george, jack, thomas, and more modern ones like dylan, tyler, etc.... for boys.
for girls its stuff like poppy, hayley, fluffy wuffy, flimsy whimsy, oopsy daisy, etc...
is going to be called Megatron Fernandez

I got bored with coming up with hilarious names for children and just started randomly assigning them northern suburbs. The latest batch are called Wirral, Gorton and Chorley
Grace the apparently most popular girls' name? Is it Will & Grace? Grace under Fire? That evil Grace from Big Brother a few years back?
Grace Under Pressure by Elbow is a choon and a half though :)
