same idea as last year then... but who would YOU like to see this year???
emily eavis banned from selecting bands
people stopping going on about Glastonbury like it's the second coming every sodding year.
how much is it?
can my friends come?
can i stay at your house?
will i need to buy a ticket?
how difficult is it to get back to penge at 4am?
can i dj?
You just fall asleep on the bus and let nature take its course. I nearly did it twice last month.
i do agree people like me do get excited... but it is the biggest fest of the year. and though the acoustic lineup was wank last year (bar a few acts), the dance lineup was immense.. so maybe it might be more balanced this year!
don't tell everyone.
otherwise, give me a hotel room or winnebago for the major ones... the thought of getting foot rot or watching my tent float away kind of doesn't appeal anymore.
and then the year after This Sporting Life will be second headliners on the Sunday Night. Yes?
I can imagine at say, The Big Chill, (where they have a kiddie area so parents can go and get off their faces guilt free) but to Glasto?
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din.
and it was disappointing.
Were it not for the company I kept, I'd have hated it.
The line-up couldn't have been much worse, to be fair.
Won't go this year, probably won't again.
Not only was the main stage line up shit last year, most of the smaller stages were pretty rubbish too for the most part.
Weather didn't help, overcrowding has got too much. Eventually it's going to end up like that 90s Woodstock thing where everyone rioted and burnt things and went rapey
crap line up, mud, people, URGH.
but, i bet if i don't get a ticket this year the sun will shine and the bands will be great.
Crosby Stills Nash Young
I feel that if I don't get a ticket the sun's going to shine and the line-up will vastly improve. If I do end up going it's going to be the same old shit in the pissing rain (again).
but I'm with codswallop - latitude this year
Doesn't rain in spain
best festival i've ever been to. atp excluded.
didnt know about a pre-release. i'm sure more will crop up. looks ACE
not a chance. Only Bjork and the NYC Downlow tent stopped it from being a completely misreable weekend.
but i quite fancy doing latitude instead
..it's pretty much unbeatable festival-wise.
and I just can't really be bothered anymore. ATP & Primavera have spoilt me.
I think I'll move to Barc in June.
so much genuine craziness and spontaneity
bestival was really great last year, seemed like the only english festival that was blessed with great weather! though people were telling me it's already losing its edge from years before. still, i loved it
don't see the point in going to Glastonbury these days when there is ATP and a whole range of superior mainland European festivals to choose from.
i might try and get a ticket. Last year was amazing but it was a wee bit big.
Friday was so sweet. The rest of the weekend less so.
Secret Garden Party (possibly, was fun last year in spite of horrendous food poisoning)
End of the Road looks nice too.
