Who was the first English league football manager to have his contract "terminated by mutual consent"?
A. "Who gives a fuck?"
for some trivia or something, or has it just popped into your head?
Since someone (probably Sanchez) got sacked and it struck me how it's become an entirely normal and acceptable term whereas I remember the phrase being used for possibly the first time in the mid-90s and everyone took the piss.
I found it fascinating how what was widely seen as a joke phrease 12 years ago has now become connonplace...
but i'd imagine it was a lot longer ago than the 1990s.
but I'm pretty sure it's fairly recently that it's been regularly applied to football managers.
When you decided to ask AQA
Or how importantly you needed the answer
Or, indeed, the relevance of the question.
However - did Google not cross your mind?
Thank you :)
'cos if you search "terminated by mutual consent" there's fuckloads of results.
