Its not even one of those Xbox360's for 30 quid mistakes, genuine bargain.
That is great.
Of course, through strategic use of Ebay, Amazon and HMV sales, I've managed to get all of those seperately for round about that price anyway.
Still... what if I sell those and get this one? It has a special box!
It's empirically the best sitcom ever written. Really. There are charts.
I've never seen it. But argh...
You're pitting my opinion against yours. Your campaign was doomed from the start. Quit now.
and it's still going pretty strong.
Recent polling have suggested you're a good 40 or so points behind me, with no chance of recovery before election day.
Is it from Seinfeld? It sounds like something from Seinfeld.
It's a simple metaphor.
Seinfeld writers are also known for using metaphors.
You're just not used to seeing them because you watch inferior TV.
But anyone can use them.
not a massive fan, its got too many stand ups observations crowbarred in to look like dialogue for my taste. however 82% reduction AND a box= me parting with cash. Just the words 180 episodes, 32 discs get me excited.
This is without doubt the bargain of my dreams.
is this still gonna be available tomorrow? I can't order stuff online but must make my housemate order this!
and trip over Larry David's leg, resulting in getting a massive box full of VHS copies of every episode ever...
is screaming that this is a typo and it should be £127 quid. Tesco are not going to honour this and some junior is getting his ass booted straight out of the door. The dispatch date is not til mid january.
Fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle though!
.. the 24 six seasons is still £129. I do like Seinfeld a lot but I don't know if I could take *that* much. Hmm. Do they have to honour sales on internet screw ups? What did they do with the xboxes in the end?
They would have to honour it. False advertising covers it.
it has a fancy legal name
they didnt have to honour the games console mishap
In all the shops I've worked in we've had to sell the goods at the price on the sticker, even if it is a cock-up.
...that may well just be customer relations rather than anything legal.
often a shop does it out of goodwill, but they are not legally obliged to.
they also have 60 odd% off. i think it may just be an amazing deal.
Oh shit, I totally read this wrong and thought it was actually £127.
I heavily doubt they will sell it for £27 considering that's how much single seasons go for.
The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out in the web site. If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated. The price of the items does not include the delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable at the date you place your order and which will be displayed in the 'Help' section of the web site. Where items are ordered pre-release, an estimated retail price will be given, in which case the price charged may be different, as the order may have been placed as much as three months prior to release. Please note that online prices may vary from those in store.
Take note of-
If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned.
I'm sure they'll let you cancel the order if they aren't going to honour it
I also note that purchasing this item requires you to join the Clubcard scheme, if you haven't already.
...I'm sure my mum has one of those somewhere...
to sign up for one and i just bought it! Fuck yeah - best bargain since i got the Complete 3rd Rock fron the Sun for £30!
i was just about to post the seinfeld link! I'm getting me this, boy howdy.
You need to have a Tesco Clubcard or a Tesco e-Clubcard to shop at the Tesco.com Site
Bonus coupons received with the quarterly Clubcard mailing or handed out in-store, and product or discount coupons issued by manufacturers or promoters cannot be redeemed against purchases from the Tesco.com site.
I think you're the proud owner of a new clubcard.
Could someone please post the full link to this? I'm at work and tinyurl is blocked as it is 'anonymous surfing' apparently.
Search Tesco online.
Thanks guys... sorry, I was just being lazy.
I've ordered it. Good stuff.
I've never seen Seinfeld before.
I just can't resist a bargain.
im just ordering it now!
Dispatch not until the 21st... Fingers crossed.
for this. I have ordered it because I have never seen Seinfeld before and if this price is genuine its a great deal.
I wanna order 10 and flog them on ebay
but I wont
if they actually send this I'll be amazed
NO ONE POST THIS ON THAT MONEY SAVING EXPERT SITE OR THEY'LL NOTICE THE ABNORMALITY THING
HotUkDeals I think. Been posted twice in the last 24 days.
Honestly. I was going to shell out the full £120 for it.
Oh my god.
If this does ever arrive then it will be the happiest day ever. I just hope they view this logically, it's not as much of a loss as the X-box situation, and they will probably make more money out of it. For every one person that would have ordered the box set at £120 there will be at the very least 4 ordering for this price, but probably more.
I'm just trying to convince myself really.
Do they email and tell you your order is cancelled because of a mis-price? They don't process it at the full price do they?
or virtually no profit. i cant decide whether its a mistake, or a loss leader type thing
I'm pretty certain. I don't think it'll go through but we can hope.
And no, they won't process it as full price, they can't. The law is that really we're all making an offer to buy it at £30 and they can choose whether to accept.
I don't hold out much hope.
and as someone posted the terms and conditions above. it just depends whether they decide its not that bad and honour it as a sign of goodwill, but i still maintain theres 60% on other seinfeld dvds, so maybe this one is just the best deal of the lot?
yet still bought this

i <3 the internet and human error.
really think this a fuck up then? I'm gonna be gutted if I don't get it - bogus! :(
isn't a mistake then someones really fucking stupid.
seriously, if this boxset was set at £60 then i imagine most of the people in this thread would still be interested.
i know for sure i would be.
£27 is just too random a number, and if it were 127 then the %discount would be very similar to the sales on other boxsets etc.
i hope they send them out with egg on their face though.
Been up for at least 24 hours and the wealth of orders they have received for something costing £127 would of set alarm bells ringing.
so I'm hoping that if you have ordered it you will be ok!
these pretzels are making me thirsty!!
so much better prices than the other more obvious game sites.
Now, while Dawson's Creek is clearly utter gash, but with a similar massive discount maybe it's not a junior tesco employee making a mistake, but genuinely the best xmas bargain in the world? Who knows, but I have my fingers crossed and have my wishful thinking cap on...
a good sign. fingers crossed indeed :)
