I suspect it's my sheer laziness to go over the manuals properly, but every piece of new technology I was bought for Christmas has refused to work as I want.

I got 5.1 headphones for the PC, for some reason when I plug an external set of speakers into the amp that was supplied, it sounds fuzzy and muddled. I'm sure I'll figure something.

I also recieved a USB podcast kit. I'm quite good with PC-related things, and a chimp would probably set this thing up. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get ANY response from the microphone even though all the drivers are installed and it's set up correctly. BAH.

Probably the fact that I've been hungover every day since Sunday won't help when setting stuff up. Is it just because it's Christmas?
