newcastle behind to derby in the first ten minutes
Didn't see it, but I'm guessing we ran them close and played well again? Still, I think we can have Arsenal at Goodison.
Everton are the best side we've played at home this season. Ferguson's tinkering nearly fucked us up - obviously Ferdinand was dropped in the aftermath of that expertly-organised Christmas party, but it would have been nice if someone had told Wes Brown he was supposed to be at centre-back today. Was missing for the goal.
And here endeth Danny Simpson's United career. Looked well out of his depth, but O'Shea was no better, the useless fat fucker. Utility man my arse. A strange substitution near the end as well. We're looking for a second goal, so we have a central midfield of Fletcher and Giggs? Bizarre.
Ronaldo was different class today. Say what you like about the man but 16 goals at this stage of the season is a great achievement for a midfielder, though we could be in trouble if he picks up a knock any time soon. Rooney, Anderson and Saha need to get amongst the goals.
No debate about the penalty though, it was a stupid challenge from Pienaar and Moyes will slaughter him for it. Three good points against a tough side, I'll take that even if the performance was a bit below par.
Purely for bailing me out from an otherwise bad Fantasy Football weekend. Listened to Five Live and Waddle just kept on saying how stupid the challenge was.
Anyone watching the Milan derby? Tis a godamn cracker!
Sam knows how to overturn a deficit. Taylor on, Emre still benched. I'm all for shoring things up at the back, but it's a bit late for that now. We need to at least try and go for goals, and we don't look like doing that.
What the fuck do we do in training, if we keep subbing defenders in the middle of matches?
would be nice. big fan of his, better than joey bloody barton. he's been giving it away and getting caught on the ball all game by the sound of the radio
I feel sick though, despite that.
4 of Derby's 7 points have come against us.
Refuses to play players in their right positions. I mean, Martins on the right? N'Zogbia at left back? He has no excuses at all for the performances. Even with our recent revival we have been playing shit football. The funny thing is, we are still 4 games unbeaten. We deserve to be in the bottom 3, we get lucky, and it is that luck that has, and sadly WILL keep Sam in a job.
Loads of people have him in their fantasy team, where as i dont.
I also dislike the player for his cockyness. If i could afford him tho i might have to sign him just so he can give me a few more points.
or it will if you combine them to get the same mental image i did
once we had players playing closer to their real positions near the end was remarkable. suddenly they seemed like they knew what they were doing.
why not just do that the whole time instead of the curious formations and positions sams been using so far?
"James Milner doesn't play on the right so let's put that to bed once and for all. He loves playing on the left and he's more effective, he has a natural tendency to jink back and so if he did that on the right he'd be going back onto his left which is his weaker foot. He can play down the right but in general he provides better balls in when he's on the left."
Interviewer: "I'm pretty sure that the concensus amongst fans would be that you've gone for a safety first approach generally, would you agree with that, and...
Sam: "Not at all, the facts don't support that...If I was playing safe then we'd have as good a defensive record as Manchester United but we haven't..."
"Some players do play out of position when problems hit your squad and some players need to play out of position for the team to achieve a result. Systems are about who you are playing against and who you have available, for example Arsenal haven't played with wingers since Marc Overmars and I can't remember when Brazil last played with them."
What the fuck is this guy smoking? He and Souness sound like bosom buddies right now...
you have to love being the perennial laughing stock of the Premiership :(
you've overtaken Blackburn.
That doesn't even make sense. I'm now even more depressed.
They seem to of permanently been crap. I think I've been brainwashed by the media a bit. Can't really complain at that, in your mini league, being ahead of Blackburn at Xmas must've been a target...
We really HAVE been permanently crap. Any good results we've achieved have been very lucky.
of grandeur. I have never got why they think they should do so much better.
I am depressed.
And apparently about to lose half of our first choice 11 in January. Though if anyone feels like paying money for McCarthy, I love you crazy people.
is perhaps not the brightest idea
how they showed Moyes' reaction in slow motion like three times
