Can I get some tattoo advice?

danger [Edit] [Delete] 18:35, 22 December '07

It's like this.....

I know what I want. It's a passage from a book - the ending to my favourite novel. The only problem is, I want it to spiral down my arm, starting at my shoulder, and ending at my wrist. Which makes it very hard to design, print, and take to a tattoo studio. I also want to be able to play with the size (and possibly the font) of each letter, to give it a really interesting look.

I'm finding it very difficult to think how to logistically design this thing. Ideally, there'd be a way that I could experiment with the lettering on a computer, and see how it would look. But it would have to be some complicated 3D modelling software, and then printing would be impossible (?).

Any advice for me? Should i resort to printing and cutting out hundreds of different sized letters, in several different fonts, and then having an exhausting session in front of a mirror, with rolls of double-sided sticky tape? But even then, when I was happy with it, how would I get it transferred to my skin?

I need your help getting my head around this.
