Half time. so far so good for spurs.
footy footy footy
im watching the game online with commentary with david pleat, who just said, 'keane will not miss, categorically, keane will not miss'
fuck off you cunt
Im a spurs fan and im bloody dissapointed. At the end of the day against teams like Arsenal you have to take your chances, we didnt and paid the price. Its encouraging though that im dissapointted we didnt win, when we actually had a realistic chance of doing so.
Impressed me. Youngster who made his first start... I still think Berbatov's attitude stinks though when things aren't going his way.
as apposed to actual attitude, although he does tend to lose his head sometimes. but when you can score goals out of nothing like he did i suppose you have to have a weakness somewhere.
Yeah O hara looked good, as did taarabt, should have had another penalty perhaps and mugged whats his name with the blonde dreadlocks.
was impressive today. Good attitude and work rate. Certainly didn't seem overawed by the occasion.
and Spurs should really have taken a point from the game.
But the writing was on the wall when Keane fucked the penalty up, and Spurs are still weak at the back - they are particularly poor at dealing with corners.
you should have seen us earlier in the season. considering we probably had one first choice player form the back four playing, and he was out of position, we wernt too bad.
The corner was unlucky too, huddlestone lost Bentdner by running into the back of gallas i think. But yeah, we should have got at least a point.
but Ramos will still need to bring in a centre-back in January. I like Chimbonda, but playing him in the centre isn't a long-term solution.
No doubt the media will indulge in the usual wankfest over Arsenal, but the truth is they've been dragging themselves through the last few games.
i rate Dawson, and Kaboul has looked better recently, but King i dont think will ever play more than the odd game now sadly, so we could do with an accomplished CB.
That they get wins even when playing poorly. And the media who is wanking over us now was abusing us through the summer, so I never listen to them anyway
The next two away games will be a big test for us, but compared to the outlook for us in July/August, I have to be happy with the current progress.
thrashing Spurs, or beating them when playing terribly after they miss a penalty.
oh my poor heart.
you smug cunt
i love being smug to spurs fans :D :D :D :D
not really, but i know id be as much of a wanker if we had one today so ill let it go now...
aside from the Boro and Newcastle games when we didn't have our most important players, that was the worst i've seen all season. Only Clichy, Flamini and Almunia actually played anywhere near to how they have been playing.
Ramos actually has Spurs organised so if he buys some decent players you'll be back up challenging for 4th though. But you really need to offload Berbatov, he's a disgrace when you're not on top/winning.
if we didnt have him today we wouldnt have drawn level, or got the penalty, so although yes hes not the best player to have when you are under it, hes still important imo.
Yeah Ramos looks to have us organised, and that was nothing like a full strength side, so when we get the players back, and hopefully sign a couple of players to strengthen the first team.
I realise it wasnt a classic arsenal performance, but i think much of that was down to us not allowing you the time, and when we did (begingin of the first half you made us pay) although i would agree you could have played better.
berbatov's goal came from a massive deflection though - it was very fortunate and he improved immeasurably after that. but he was crap in the first half for all the space he was allowed and just shocking after it went to 2-1. you just can't afford to have him on the pitch against sides you're not going to thrash.
i still think you're five or six players away from really challenging for the European places. O'Hara looks pretty solid but i don't think you have any midfielders good enough at all. They don't really create anything and they can't defend. Any team can look good at closing down every so often.
i'm always going to be a tosser when Arsenal beat Spurs, and really we were fucking jammy to get anything today, but i still think that's more down to our key midfielders being straight back from injury than anything else. But they are great players, and it's pretty telling that Fabregas was shocking by his standards today and still comes out with 2 assists.
not sure if id go with massive. he was good in the first half. seeing as we just punted it up to him a lot of the time and his first touch was always fantastic. keane was barely involved and we didnt create much for either striker, not really berbatovs fault.
yeah i would agree, although we did have several players out today, jenas is hit and miss but has been largely good this season, bale if he plays left mid is a great player and we have a promsiing few younger players, and i still think lennon is class. although yeah i would think we need a couple of midfielders.
at the end of the day we came up against a better side today, and we would have done had we had a full team or not. and it pains me to admit that.
It probably would have hit Almunia in the chest/face otherwise.
what a shame that would have been :P
it was going low and wide really... i you were a bit harsh you could probably put it down as an own goal.
Berbatov wasn't playing Keane in at all in the first half despite the space he had.
You don't need a Jenas, you need an Elano or an Arteta. They're the main reasons why City and Everton are up there. Bale looks great, but really Lennon is no better than Eboue. He can only beat fullbacks he's much than. He doesn't really have any skill or crossing ability.
in two weeks + not being v good = Sunderland going down :(
I'm fairly sure I'm with you on this one...
