well not total strangers... so a friend of my brother managed to have one of his tyres blow out just outside my house. He was knocking on the door for ages, and because I live in the middle of nowhere I didn't answer for fear it would all turn into some awful horror film esque scenario. I left it 5 minutes but they didn't drive away, so I peeked out the door then saw him and opened up. I invited him (and his girlfriend in), in anticipation of them calling someone to pick them up... however it seems this isn't to be. No-one can come at this time, the only person they can talk to doesn't own a car. So I'm doing the 'Christian' thing, offered them the sofas and hot water bottles. But I feel weird about it, I hadn't spoken to him before and don't know him from Adam. Me-pretty charitable? Considering their sole other option was to sleep in the car. Anyway... now I'm relegated to upstairs and wont even see them leave. Am I too trusting? How trusting are you?
