I was thinking this on the bus as I got all misty eyed reading about Jane Tomlinson and all the good stuff she'd done.

I was close to it twice at BBC Sports Personality. Once when Bobby Robson was hobbling up the stairs and when Ricky Hatton told the audience how he felt he'd let everybody down.

So, when did you last cry and is it as pointless as a grown man getting a touch of the vapours over professional sportsmen (and Jane Tomlinson)?
