It's just occurred to me it really pisses me off when people try to make small talk with me at work. Sure it's nice that they're trying to be nice but I'm rarely wildly interested and would prefer to be left alone to get on with my work/waste time on the internet.

What really annoys you although there's no reason why it should and the fact it does implies you aren't an especially nice person?
