I miss Vince Cable already. :(
This better not mean a surge in cunting bastard Lib Dems in Sheffield.
(NB I do actually like my local Lib Dem councillor, mainly because he shops at Netto and looks like he lives with his mum)
Wish Steve Webb'd run though. Or Vince Cable in retrospect.
a dream about Vince Cable the other night
A thoroughly nice man
Corporal Clegg had a wooden leg,
He won it in the war,
In nineteen forty four.
Corporal Clegg had a medal too,
In orange, red, and blue,
He found it in the zoo.
Dear, dear were they really sad for me?
Dear, dear will they really laugh at me?
Mrs. Clegg, you must be proud of him.
Mrs. Clegg, another drop of gin.
Corporal Clegg umbrella in the rain,
He's never been the same,
No one is to blame.
Corporal Clegg recieved his medal in a dream,
From Her Majesty the Queen,
His boots were very clean.
Mrs. Clegg, you must be proud of him
Mrs. Clegg, another drop of gin?
Who is the leader of what?
After Seasaw and Remember A Day - poor old Saucerful of Secrets.
I think Sarah Tether should have got in with her borderline boiler face.
I remembered it as being pretty catchy with high-pitched vocals... but I just listened to it for the first time in years, and it's terrible...
It's no Jugband Blues, that's for sure.
with pioneering vocal techiniques, but the 'trippy' mixing and Roger Waters sneery vocals just jar once you reach 18 or something.
The Saucerful 'set' is really good - I love the mournful organ 'requiem' phase - lovely warm notes on a childlike rising scale etc blah.
I'm choosing not to understand that pitiful gag. For shame.
How come I never see you in E17?
I've never been to London
Remember its Lloyd Park where I live
