im thinking of growing it over xmas holidays but A.) dunno if my girlfriend will like it and B.) is it worth it?
is about right for full beard. at around 2 weeks is the challenge, it really starts to itch like fuck and the missus is guaranteed to moan
for me it takes 4 - 7 days to have what I call a 'beard'
75% of girls perfer guys without facial hair
Scratchy manly facial hair... Yum..
Like my pop used to say "Every man should grow a beard once in his life".
I'm currently sporting a two week growth of hair on my face.
but I like beards. go for it.
and I can't even grow sideys :(
but i've only ever gone 2 before getting fed up or having something i needed to look smart
The hair on one side of my face grows faster and coarser than the hair on the other side. It's fucking irritating as I look like a Tommy Cooper sketch sometimes.
Anyway, yeah, your question: it depends, it can take between 2-6 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows.
(because it starts to itch at that point) but from the looks of it at that stage, it'd take a further week (i.e. 3 in total) to start looking like a proper convincing beard.
I haven't been clean shaven for about 2 years and I wouldn't go back...for one...I'll look about 14 again. I think it took quite a while to get a healthy growth going. Probably about a week and a half.
Two weeks since my last shave. Still looks like I've just forgotten to shave for a couple of days.
i can't evenmuster a one day mustache.
I have what would be a real man's 2 day (albeit patchy) stubble, but only at my sideburns and at a ridiculous position under my chin. Once it starts growing on my actual face, I might try growing it.
once you start growing a beard you begin to notice that there are parts of your face that simply will not grow hair.
and it's been 2 weeks since I've shaved.
I would, however, say it's not a very full beard but I hope it's a bit more impressive by the time I see those of you coming to the Leeds all-dayer next week :D
my moustache is a bit shite.
Oh, how I wish I could grow a proper moustache :(
at somepoint this week but I think I'd like to try and out-beard you now.
You have to piss on my beard parade, don't you?
they just look a bit patchy so I end up shaving it off.
That said, I'm currently kind of tempted to just not shave for ages and see what comes of it.
I think they pre-date the indie scene by..oh I don't know...all of mankind's history.
just under a week, i dont much want a beard at the minute though, hmmm.
I'd have one like Gandalf if i could but i only get shitty stubble around the bottom half of my face- boo!
yet i've never shaved and i still don't have one. Sometimes life id just too unfair.
other people's beard growing abilities :(
it looks great for about five days, after that it half of it turns snow white and looks totally freakish. although i do look young and beautiful after a shave so it's not all bad ....
I can't even sprout a singular hair.
Career advisors suck!
She must be in her late 80s.
She has one snaggle tooth and an ENTIRE beard. Thick sideys, hairy bridge over the lip and full on under the chin.
I can't grow a beard, just annoying bristle.
all my hair grows pretty fast, I have to shave my head every 10 days and I can't remember thelast time I was clean shaven cause it's just not worth it
about 8am. At 7pm I got told off at work for not shaving :(
usually i get annoyed after a few days, and it looks a tad rubbish.
I keep getting annoying fair-coloured hairs in my stubble.
but it makes me look like a leper
Full beards look horrible. I always get to the scruffy stage before thinking that I look like someone in a gulag.
Scruffy - good. Full beard - pipe and slippers, arran cardigan and Werthers.
I don't think I could ever have a beard. I might even consider having my face hair lasered off. On reflection, that might make me look a bit 8 years olf.
22 and my attempt at a beard would still look like whiskers sprouting from a new-born cat. I want sideys and stubble, damnit!
