I'd always rather be guilted into doing something rather than being told "Or Else!" by some silly advert.
reasoning is, that inevitably these campaigns will have gone through some shitty focus-rooms and ideas-factories, staffed by oxygen thief Ad Men, and thus it feels like it's THESE cunts reprimanding me, just as much as the authorities.
It's at it's absolute CUNT-ZENITH when it's clever clever "aaaaaah see what we did there" advertising (like the tube posters with people in tears and handcuffs after supposedly fare dodging) or the TV licence one with that silly "We have a list of every unregistered ya di ya di ya".
There was a poster on bus stops a few years ago asking what colour you'll go when you're caught fare dodging. One of the colours was "Dying of embarrassment Damask"
SRSLY fuck. the. cleft. of. your. chin. It made me want to fare dodge, just to increase fare-dodging and end the stupid unsuccesful ad campaign.
arrrgh these CUNTS...and if you can bust people so easily for not having a TV licence, why don't you just go and do that rather than showing off about it?
