get some self respect for fuck's sake. Stop letting yourself be typecast as "fat, ugly person"
where they employ an attractive woman to play 'ugly'. I think that concept's really offensive in many ways.
are all these skinny actresses who look like they'll snap.
No meat and huge mouths - that's UGLY
it almost is self-respect because they've dealt with the fact they're both fat and ugly.
Because they're basically just shouting I AM ABNORMAL!True repsect for them would surely just be not giving a shit
I happened to see the script for his part.
It read "The Petrol Attendant, a spotty-faced youth..."
I really couldn't stop laughing.
Do they get a call from their agent saying "Oh! The BBC have just contacted me about an audition for a fat, spotty, lazy, balding man! I think you're in with a great chance, Craig."?
I'd hate that :(
Is that what constitutes ugly in tv land?
I have a total crush on the guy second from right on the top row.
he's like a really bizarre cross between carl barat and a member of the horrors.
Click on the special section though...
I am loving all the erotic twin combos.
he actually is in the horrors, isn't he?
People tell me I'm pretty photogenic and I'm definitely not conventionally good-looking.
You'd probably get some pretty interesting job offers...
You have to list all your skills too.
That'd be awesome. I want to do it too. I could go around telling people I was a model, and I WOULDN'T BE LYING!
So douchebag's thread has had completely the wrong effect on me...

Yes. I spent the last two minutes 'doing' their accents.
Kind of. Not really. But when they have some 12-year-old girl on Eastenders saying to her older sister "Am I ugly?", they're basically telling a 12-year-old that she's ugly. AND THAT'S NOT RIGHT. I always feel a bit bad for people who have been specifically cast because they're ugly, but ho-hum. Probably still have a better life than me!
michelle, brie, they always have a sister who has issues with themselves, makes me feel bad for the actors and wonder how they feel wwhen they read the script
She was meant to be the ugly one, who didn't fit into the family, and the scriptwriters chose the most unflattering looks for her.
I MEAN, BREE AS A GOTH? Clearly they were just taking the piss out of her fugliness.
slightly more attractive as bree not as a goth
not the best pictures to show how horrific she looked.
oh wait, youtube.
she's the one wearing the cape.
and I still can't believe they gave her a cape.
apparently she's not as ugly as we think!
an 'ugly' one who would have at least two plots a year about being ugly. It's pretty pathetic but really the whole of tv especially comedy plays on cliches. That's why south park have Token, sending up these kinds of programmes who employ stereotypes.
American tv programmes are fond of using people they find to be attractive and then putting glasses, freckles and frumpy clothes and braces on them to make them appear 'ugly' or geeky. So you get the geeks in saved by the bell and rachel leigh cook in she's all that.

in malcolm in the middle.
like that new one from Eastenders.
Worst. Character. Ever
