at the far end of the corridor, walking towards you, is someone you know.
At what point do you acknowedge them?
in a dark dark building.
And they were a skellington.
I might not see them at all.
do you just wave from a distance then carry on with the loooong walk as normal
a little wave from far away.
never. The apologise next time you see them
How fast are you both walking?
What is the height difference (in inches) between the two of you?
apart from the ones at each end
2. Head down until you are ready to make contact
3. Look up, quick smile, not even necessarily a 'hello'
4. Retire to bedroom to wank in a pile of your own filth
of early retirement.
I say HIYA and wave, if I like them
othrwise a brief nod and smile at point of proper eye contact
and therefore allowing me to easily escape from any potential conversation.
as soon as you realise you know them. continue waving until they have passed you. never make eye contact.
this is the most stressful thing i face every day
at them as soon as you see them and continue to do so until you are in hug/hanshake distance.
if they are a good friend they too will wave consistently all the way down the corridor.
if not then you should get 'irreversible' on their ass.
Person I know well and like: RUN OVER! HIYA!
Person I know well and dislike: slight wave and smile through gritted teeth as soon as we are eye-contact-makeable distance away.
Person I don't know well and like: Big smile and "how are you?" when I'm just a couple of metres away, after staring at my shoes for the last twenty metres.
Person I don't know well and don't like: I don't acknowledge them because I'm a cooooold muthafucka.
