  • I did this with Eraserhead

except it was more of a daze than a sleep. And it made the whole experience more amazing & surreal.

  • ...

I have a habit of doing this. Did it during Transformers and Die Hard 4.

Not just in the cinema either.

I fell asleep on my feet watching Gorgoroth the other week.

  • i did this when i went to see southland tales

my neck hurt but it was better than watching the film.

  • 'Falling to sleep'

For some reason this strikes me as the phrasing someone who doesn't have English as their first language would use.

That isn't intended in any way as disparaging btw, it just seemed odd to me. Perhaps I'm the odd one and everyone says that.

    voiceofthepeople | 11 Dec '07, 23:48 | X
    • it does seem odd

people usually say "falling asleep". and save "falling to sleep" for talking about the actual moment of drifting off to sleep.

it sounds cute though. i'm going to use it more often.

  • why?!?!

she didn't make out with me in the cinema. it was unrelated!

    • I fell asleep

to War of the Worlds, the Spielberg film. I realised, upon viewing it a second time, that my decision to nap was fully justified,

    • OK

I have become jaded on the disparate minutiae of your romantic life, Tristan. And I mean that in the best possible way.

        • What does the title field mean?

And the best way to stop people reading them is to just not post them, but OK.

Everytime I hear about some hot 17 year old you've made out with, it makes me want to die and take you with me, Tristan. But then I think of you vomming all over yourself in your sleep and it's alright again.

And I mean that in the best possible way.

                    • I went to see Pi on when it first came out at the Screen on the Green.

A guy 2 rows in front of me fell asleep half way through and snored (very loudly) for the rest of the films duration. No one in the cinema gave a toss, least of all me.
