DiS withdrawal experiment - results

chiaroscuro [Edit] [Delete] 13:59, 11 December '07

Hypothesis: it is possible to remain in regular contact with friends you have met on DiS without actually spending hours posting on said messageboard. Or, in fact, any time at all.

Conclusion: false! There's no longer a clear distinction between online and 'IRL', such that failure to keep up with important and defining online events render one at best semi-integrated within social group. One inevitably becomes preoccupied with subjects manifesting themselves corporeally within one's immediate environment leading to gradual deterioration of attachment to DiS-based conspecifics.

Possible solutions:
a) I quit for good and forget you fuckers for ever
b) I come back
c) Any other ideas?
