Is this all who's going?
I assume they just haven't felt it necessary to publicly state their intentions.
Be nice if they did though.
by all accounts it should be over capacity, but then by all accounts England should have qualified for Euro 2008 without dropping a point.
So yes, people who are coming, please let it be known you are!
Found it, added it.
Loads of people I don't know
and have now declared as such on the event profile. I bought two tickets but I'm thinking I might be brave enough to go solo...
and have declared this on the profile. Where do I get tickets from?
Is Laura Hocking still due to play - I listened to her on myspace last week and liked it...
and is indeed awesome.
Tickets from here :
I might need to get a ticket, but I can't get one until I know I'm going which is dependent on creaky, and also on accommodation
this is gonna be fun.
if anyone wants it.
Do you know what time the first act, Laura Hockling will be starting?
I'm probably going, but will be at Crystal Palace vs Plymouth in the afteroon, which finishes about 4:50. I'll probably head there straight from football.
according to further up the thread.
is further up the thread?
so very reliable.
Or was this a joke?
If I wasn't in Brighton for the weekend. If I decide to come back early I may go to this on the way home. I'm yet to see Ice, Sea, Dead People and I'm quite looking forward to it!
It says "England should have qualified for Euro 2008 without dropping a point" which didn't happen but also says "I can't get one until I know I'm going", which is probably a true statement.
It also says "I will get you a beer" which could be true or untrue depending on events...
is this sadly for me or sadly for anyone on here?
The last two xmas parties in London I was involved in were complete disasters so I decided to not bother this year. New year is more fun I say.
I spend ages panicking about
a) whether anyone'll inivte me anywhere
b) if they do, whether I'll spend the evening in a ridiculously expensive, ridculously packed bar and having a ridiculously bad time.
Luckly the last couple of years a friend has had a small but pleasant party and this year another friend has invited me to their house party which'll be much more preferable to going out.
as its much less hassle than spending 83 pounds on a ticket to what is basically a pub filled with the type of people you spend the year dreaming about being hit repeatedly in the face with a claw hammer.
I did Edinburgh one year which was stressful and I did London on millenium eve which was weird with bottles of empty champagne and piss everywhere, though the tubes ran all night and the Libertines didn't exist.
I might be here.
Is Selhurst Park still a bloody rip off for away fans? I'm tempted to also come after seeing the mighty Greens.
Anyway, not sure I want to attend now that klaire isn't going. Disaster.
Who's going on Saturday?
And I don't know anyone!
Because I'm too scared to be one of the first people to turn up. I'm going to change my profile pic so people know who I am...
Come talk to me! I was figuring I'd just drink my shyness away
there will be loads of people there before 5:30.
But I won't KNOW any of them.
I might though....
the best female singer songwriter in the country!
she actually lives in England.
I'm turning up drunk.
I was thinknig about it but there are way too many cunts on DIS these days. I will have nothing in common with anyone.
I have a spare you can have and I'm not that much of a cunt
come to the pub with me instead
how many people are dropping ot of this. I'm still going though, on my own so please someone talk to me. I'm not a cunt, honest.
that the Victoria line closes at 10pm.
What's that all about then?
this simply isnt true.
Check on the transport for london website :
back to normal now.
- I don't think I'll bother either now. Too much stuff to do on Saturday.
Do people know something about this that I don't? Is Dan Magician planning to whip out an AK47 when he gets on stage and gun us all down? Somebody convince me this is still worth going to.
There's loads of DiSers till going (including some people not ticked on the event thing).
It'll be good day in a good pub 3 days before Christmas with loads of good bands playing. It's pretty inevitable they'll be a bit of a dropout rate this time of year 'cos everyone's so busy and there's so much going on but it'll still be packed, there'll still be loads of ace people there to talk to and it'll still be damn fucking enjoyable.
If people miss out on that then that's a shame but don't let them losing out put you off...
but I will be wearing a Santa dress (yes, a dress) which I bought from the market today. So that's probably reason to stay away if there is one.
But seriously, this is a ridiculously good lineup for £5. People are silly.
There are still loads of people off here going (at least twice as many as are on the event attendance thing) and the venue should be pretty much full. Gonna be awesome!
I can't wait to see your dress Dan. I'll have to make do with my humble santa hat.
Not that I was seriously thinking about not going anyway.
Still turning up on my own though, if you see someone standing in the corner looking lonely remember to say hello. I'll be wearing a lovely argyle sweater.
It'll be massive fun!
I really can't go
Have an excellant time people
