Bpring thread, but are they worth £45 and will they be too difficult for a complete n00b like me?
they're definitely not worth £45 though. lomography.com are notorious for overpricing. try ebay, you used to be able to get them from hong kong for about £20 there! and they're really easy to use, you shouldn't have any problems - the developing may be expensive though, depending on whether you have darkroom access or not.
but it was a present and i haven't actually used it yet so this is a really pointless reply. sorry.
and processing will be expensive but they're very good fun if you want to get into photography.
i bought it from lomography and in retrospect should have bought it from ebay. Also, when i got it id didnt realise quite how difficult/expensive working in medium format is. cheapest way to do things is to get your film developed only - or even better, shoot black and white and develop it at home - and then scan the negative. thats still quite an initial outlay though. but i think its worth it, i love the photos it takes, even though i'm a total photography noob.
i also recently got a vintage polaroid sx-70 which is ace but getting film for it is pricey and difficult.
you can do with holgas ?
tried it, but i think you just buy this...
from what i've seen. it transforms your holga into a massive brick
