live in Edinburgh and it was hilarious.
I got the DVD of it live in...London? I'm not sure where, anyway, it wasn't as funny, and not because this was the second time around I'd seen it, but the style and speed and timing was slightly different and just made it less funny.
at least in script. I saw him in Loughborough and he spent half the first half taking the piss out of town and university alike.
I still prefer Monster to Like, Totally, but the Like, Totally I saw live was much better than the one on dvd.
it's just the fact he's there.
I found him funny on Black Books, not so much there though. I think he gets away with tired material because he's like a cool, eccentric figure who walks around with glasses of wine and cigarettes, whcih make him seem more interesting than he really is.
