Today is a friend's birthday, one of my best friends, to celebrate a big party has been organized, a fancy dress party.
I get the details through some time during the week. A decent venue has been booked, the birthday boy's band are playing (plus another) and also another friend has been roped in to DJ after the bands have finished.
Didn't think I would be in area at the weekend, since I was invited to another party in Norwich, even though I booked train tickets i've decided to go my friend's birthday party instead. I rummaged around the house and found a few clothing items I could chuck together.
The only thing is, my three other best friends from the group don't really seem up for the party. On says he really wants to go but as work tomorrow at 7am, but he doesn't want to get dressed up.
The other two are unsure if they want to go or not, since we're going to London next weekend, one friend said "Not too sure about the party, might save some money...we will going for beers though".
Now to me, this seems a bit rubbish (of the later two friends at least). Not wanting to go to a friend's birthday party and go out for drinks instead, which will lead to getting drunk and most possibly spending more money that we would at the party.
Also taking into consideration that my birthday friend will be in the group making the London trip next weekend.
Am I right in being annoyed at my friend's for not making the little bit of effort for a friend's, whom we've all known for the best part of twelve years, birthday party?
