Inspired by the best footballer your club has ever had thread, I wanted to share the genius of Robin Friday.

He played for Reading (and then Cardiff for a short time) in the 70's and was a massive talent, almost single-handedly winning the Royals promotion. He was the ultimate party boy and there are many tales about him including the time he kicked Mark Lawrenson in the face and shit in his kit bag, took LSD on the team bus on the way to a game, missed the start of matches cos he was sitting in the pub and scored a goal some believe to be the best ever, unfortunately it'll never be seen due to the lack of video cameras at the time!

He also featured on the front cover of SFA's 'Man Don't Give A Fuck' single and Paul McGuigan (the ex-Oasis guy) wrote a book about him, which is well worth the couple of quid it probably costs on Amazon second hand.
