I liked the Aztec zone the best, as the games where people might fall in the water were pretty hilolrious to me at the time.
Dreams do come true.
Aztec rocks, fo' sho'.
I think Medieval second. Not sure about the others.
of Medieval. Wasn't Richard O'Brien's mum trapped there for ages?
Industrial was pretty lame I thought.
surely he could have released her, being the proprietor?
DOO DOOO DOOO DOOO DOOOO
such dramatical theme music.
p.s industrial zone was awesome.
And if not, why?
he better have been!
The second Crystal Maze presenter (I think) is playing with DJ Scotch Egg and someone from Slipknot in Brighton in December. Fact.
I remember that sketch having not seen it between then and just now.
Mind you, Ed Tudor Pole as regency-dressed new wave loon >>>> Ed Tudor-Pole in The Crystal Maze: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtDfqgFiaOU
before we get an olegrich Crystal Maze based anecdote
to Richard O'Brien in Weybridge.
He went in for tigerskin rugs in a big way.
I can also confirm that he rocked the wide brim hat look in the garden too.
by the sound of his harmonica?
He was a jazz man if memory serves.
one would hope...
I imagine Jas Mann would possibly have some kind of budget intergalactic diorama in his back garden, which plays 'spaceman', on the hour, every hour over some tinny speakers.
Mumsy ever pop round?
Wasn't that a little like the monster in Trap Door?
You heard much discussion about her/it in hushed terms, but, no actual sightings!
She used to attempt to tell the contestants fortunes but was obviously too drunk on rum.
was an adventure holiday in Wales. Seriously those yuppies could have afforded it in about 1 days work.
the supposed climax was always an anti-climax and was the weakest bit of the programme. They should have made the actual end bit much more exciting (and also had better prizes), like Fun House or something.
NO THE RED ONE!
The Maid Marian and Her Merry Men episode which had a spoof of the Crystal Maze? I can remember laughing for about a year the first time I saw it..
What were the prizes?!
That was one of them!
Must watch it later!
as it is GENIUS
They used to shoot the Crystal Dome sequence twice because the contestants would just rummage around the floor for gold tickets.
So they'd film it again with them jumping around, purely because it looked better.
that they would have collected about 200 tickets despite just jumping around.
thank you, another piece of interesting knowledge for the masses.
