gotta be Gangrel
Or the Undertaker
Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake
But he got his head crushed in by Crush, who then lost to Doink. So I voted Doink.
is this you trying to be all "i'm not a racist, my favourite wrestler is black!" ?
it was me naming 2 of the worst wrestlers I have ever seen.
i remember one year at survivor series, virgil was on a totally kickass team of good guys, and basically lost it for them.
I only ever remember him winning one match: summerslam 91 vs ted dibiase for the million dollar belt.
only thing he ever won, and it was a made up title.
i need to go to my grandmother's and steal some of her old videos...
and then you need to invite me over.
with half a dozen ones from '94/'95 on tape. some of them were in LP tho, so might not work anymore :(
as usual, the japanese do it better:
Hard Gay Razor Ramon;
Ken The Box
giant egg...leathers...bondage gear...
Amazing at interviews and planned out his wrestling matches really well.
was great. Remember The Brood?
Hart Foundation - Bret, Jim, Owen, Bulldog, Pillman - genius.
sigh...when wrestling was good :(
the best is there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. AND he had mirrored wraparound sunglasses.
having mirrored wraparound sunglasses
its Kurt Angle. The man is a machine. Best I've ever seen, and I've seen most.
went a bit crazy but..
and thats not just because of the double murder suicide either. Angle is a wrestling machine.
Kurt was incredible.
his matches with samoa joe last year were incredible.
because a) I couldn't name another wrestler and b) for his cameo in Gremlins 2
I forgot about that bit in Gremlins 2 :D
knows that the correct answer to this is George 'The Animal' Steele
turnbuckles he ate
samuel beckett used to give him lifts to school because he was too big for the bus.
Joke answer: Marc Henry
Real answers: Ric Flair, Mick Foley
Shoot-in-the-face-if-anyone-dares-suggest-them answers: Dave 'Dave' Batista, Sting, John Cena, David Arquette
Chokeslammed-out-of-his-shoes answer: Terry Funk
is far from being the best wrestler of all time, because he didn't wrestle. He brawled. Flair is a good shout.
and he knew how to weave a story into a match (a match into a story, more like).
That makes him more of a wrestler for me than any of these guys in TNA who can do all this technical shit, but look like they have no idea what they're doing to link it together. Being a great wrestler has nothing to do with being a great wrestler. Now if the question was greatest tech wrestler..
a great wrestler to me can have any type of match. Foley was very entertaining, and gave a lot for the business, but could only do brawls, no matter how good the story of the match was.
Flair, Angle and Bret Hart (to name but 3) could/can work different types of matches.
he could rise to it. He couldn't make a technical match come off on his own, but he could work one. Even in his more recent matches - say the one with Orton - he holds up pretty well before letting loose with the crazy shit.
I think it's fair to say the same for Hart and Flair when it comes to brawls; they'd not be great at being the aggressors in a brawl, but they can work it.
Angle's another story; I'm wondering if he could have carried any gimmick, any style, any worthless jobber, back in his prime.
I think Shawn Micheals deserves a bit of credit too; total jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. But a solid worker.
I think 'jack of all trades master of none' is a pretty bold statement! The man is a LEGEND.
Angle has carried many MANY people to acceptable/exciting matches. Even the Big Show when he was at his fattest.
I am a fan of foley (though not as much as I used to be after meeting him) but I just can't agree with him being one of the best of all time.
Ric Flair OBVIOUSLY.
The Excellence of Execution.
The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.
I have firmly believed that to be true since I was nine year old.
the interviewer is hilarious!
Yesterday - Y2J or The Rock
Middle of last week - The Warlord or the British Bulldog
has been a huge dissapointment to me as ECW champ. And I LOVED his ROH stuff.
Samoa Joe>>>>CM Punk
the WWE style I guess. Plus he's hardly been pushed in any meaningful feuds. Red-headed stepchild is about right.
Samoa Joe has just got stale in TNA - same old, same old week in, week out. He's feuded with everyone of note at least twice, sometimes more.
but Joe is still working good matches. But I suppose he has a higher calibre of opponent than Punk.
Johnny Nitro and Big Vis. Yawns.
I might watch Joe vs Punk 2 tonight to remind me why I liked them.
never watched much ROH stuff. Samoa Joe and AJ Styles stuff always impressed me though.
best high-flyer of all-time.
That would be between Angle, Bret Hart and maybe Shawn Michaels.
But of course, there's more to pro-wrestling than the technical stuff. The best all rounder will always be Hogan.
