is anyone going?????
you like them!
i've seen them like twice recently anyway.
i'm there! me! claire roberts!
some cool people i know are going as well.
i dunno where she's been.
but actually it's because i never kiss relatives on the mouth.
back to your original point though, yes i do kiss my mother with this mouth. i don't have more than one mouth. you see why there isn't a plural of the word mouth? because people only have one mouth. now stop being an idiot.
Bishi, Wave Pictures and David Thomas Broughton are playing at Corsica Studios. it's one of the lineups of the year.
why do i have to work :'(
This gig is nothing to do with me, and neither are any of the bands.
So stop being a miserable slimy fucktard for once in your life and bugger off.
I still haven't seen DTB.
Wave Pictures are just superb.
Bishi is good too.
otherwise I would.
I do love the Wave Pictures. We put them on at Lost Sunday once. And I liked Bishi wehn I saw her at the RFH, although that was partly because I got to laugh at fideL wearing a headdress.
I want to go to that! But I can't afford to really :(
i'm sorely tempted
i might've if i knew about it, but now i have other plans
I've never, ever heard a single song by this band. This despite the fact that one in every three articles on DiS over the last three years seems to mention them
I'm sure more people would have gone to keep you company then.
blanket at half 8
tired irie at 9.15
youthmovies at 10
DISCO UNTIL 3!!!!!!
well that's the usual times for white heat anyway. i'll double check.
it was pretty awful. didn't bother with anymore.
the songs on their myspace and namely If You'd Seen A Battlefield and A Little Staggered'
can't be bothered. i'm just gonna go reread this thread instead and look for clues.
i should go though.
maybe i will.
but I have a prior engagement.
I have a terrible feeling that Blanket's set will be almost entirely drowned out by people talking.
I wanted to ask them to play my night but I fear the Friday night crowd would drown them out, so hoping to put them on at another night I have in mind. Soonish.
their songs are great, but when they supported A Sunny Day In Glasgow the room was just far too noisy
There's a good crypt under the church on the roundabout at Kennington, as I recall.
what venues encourage quietness? Luminare aside.
because there's the front bar to go to if you want to talk. Betsey Trotwood because it's too small to get properly loud, although a capacity of 30 doesn't get you very far. And the Good Ship, because there's never a big audience.*
I liked the betsy a lot actually, its been about 2 years since I've been there though.
at the back of the 'stage'.
I hate White Heat
