Anyone in Brighton tomorrow who is available and likes GOOD MUSIC then you must come and see my band 4 or 5 Magicians at The Hope. We are on last, at about 10:00, and playing with a band from Liverpool called Puzzle.

Without this turning into a rant / jag too much, it upsets me a bit that there are now about 15 towns in the country where we get bigger crowds than our hometown of Brighton. Nobody there seems at all interested in anything that isn't either well-dressed, local radio friendly cack produced by the clinical production line of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, creamed over by the NME, or oblique Latvian prog-dance.

We need people like you who actually know about music to come to our shows. So, while it's probably quite easy to stay in and watch Antiques Roadshow with a nice cup of tea, it would be far more rewarding to actually get out and see some good new music.
