I stopped and looked back for a few seconds, but I was late for a lecture, and the attacker had run off, so I convinced myself I couldn't afford to stay and help. And now I feel like a massive cunt. It was only a lecture, for fuck's sake. I miss enough of them all the time. So someone tell me the fact that I'm still thinking about it now, and at least gave it a moment's thought while everyone else on the street seemed to carry on unaffected, is enough to redeem me.
