Who coined this? What a weaselly shitty sentiment.
What other common sayings do you think are gashanu?
thats dry ice
What the fuck? ALWAYS look a gift horse in the mouth, and see if there are soldiers in there waiting to come out of that horse and butcher you in your sleep.

How can you put a stitch in a concept?
Also why only 9. I reckon that if you could actually put a stitch in time, you could at least prevent the Armenian genocide
that one clearly means one stitch done in a timely fashion saves a further 9 stiches a little bit further down the line due to the continued degradation of the material/stitching in question.
why oh why didn't i stich that pocket before the resulting slightly to flappy flap got caught on the door and tore the whole coat apart :(
I was thinking about posting something like this.
Only my thread started: "What exactly is a rain check?"
i know its popular use derives from Baseball
Ah, that makes sense.
No need for a rant castigating people who use this phrase rather than simply asking for a 'postponement'. I mean, postponement is a fun word, it should get more use.
shows that its what they call a ticket issued if a game is postponed due to rain before the match becomes official, so people started using that to say 'can we do it some other time'. Ta da.
See, I knew already that it's definitely not that, that's why I asked.
