just ordered some, bargain
they went like hot cakes, it was great we have loads of x box 360 its weird,
You won't get them for that price, surely.
they are not legally obliged to sell it to you yet, they might do out of good will, but the contract is formed once they are dispatched, so you still have only offered to buy the xbox, they can refuse this offer.
The offer is surely on the website. Acceptance = buying?
The Store offer the item as an invitation to treat only. So this means that you typing in your details etc. is an offer to buy the item, which they can refuse. The confirmation email they send after will state this, and your offer is accepted when they send the item.
especially as if they'd displayed it instore like that they'd have to sell it for that price..
when i worked in retail we were told not to misprice things, because if we did the shop had to sell them for that price under trading standards stuff.
Trading Standards dictates that a customer is entitled to purchase the product at the lowest price displayed.
However, the trader can refuse to serve a customer altogether.
to stop a customer, say, swapping the price labels around.
Clearly a shop has to be protected.
until they turn up.
looks like they fixed it :(
send an email saying "due to an error" we cannot offer you this item at the price.
Happened to me on Amazon, i tried buying a Steven Seagal 10 DVd boxset for £3 to no avail
£3 is still too expensive
I'm assuming you got your £2.50 back.
according to one forum they were sending out cancellation e mails this morning...and I still dont have one (and the other 8 people I know dont have one either), lets hope they are packing mine right now
that would be much appreciated, im not a gamer geek or anything,
I read the T & C
'Tesco.com reserves the right to refuse to post material on the Tesco.com Site or to remove material already posted on the Tesco.com Site'
Maybe if i complain they will give it to me
if i actually write a letter it may even be more convincing that im quite old..
the internet is FAST.
will we be honoured for are sharp online shopping skills?
ok I got told but still I was quick
That said, my mate got one for free plus £20 from Tesco. They fucked up the pricing somehow in store and let him scan it and he basically pointed out it was mispriced and their rules stated they gave it to you plus the cost difference.
there was some loophole in Tesco's refund policy where anything priced incorrectly resulted in a full refund and receving the item for free.
They have stamped that one out now though.
claiming it wasnt meant to include the console itself. a likely story...
i say that this is a fucking travesty.
I was reading in the paper last week about a mess up on the Asda website about them mispricing crates of lager. A guy bought a few hundred cans for about a tenner.
