there is always something better and we always want what we can't have.
ooh on a slightly more serious note, read 'the unbearable lightness of being' tis good.
Eventually you run out of stuff to be better than what you just said was better than something else.
If something's the best, there can't be nuthin' better...
No one can be 'the best'.
That does not exist.
But there is ALWAYS something better, yes?
There's a finite number of people, so how could that ever make sense?
I vote me
I've not found 'The Best' and yet... I know there is something 'better'...
The strive for it?
It's there.... something better... but not 'the best'...
Surely, must understand the differentiation between that?
He is the best at running.
wanting something is better than having it
I'm intrigued as to what really goes on in your head.
Because, there IS, always something better.
It's within our own heads.
It's human nature.
It shall not cease to exist.
It's who we are damned to be.
Discuss, perhaps that point.
There really IS something better in our heads, yes? Why would we be here otherwise?
Whatever context we decide to place ourselves in, there is always that strive to be 'better' or 'further' than where we are now.
So discuss that. Now.
dunno if it is human nature or culturaly specific, I think it is the enough is never enough that is sending the world off the edge
You can be satisfied but also have goals...
Mine right now is to be asleep in 2 minutes.
Had been moving house, went to a gig, and hadn't eaten dinner. Should know better at my age.
And yet still, it does pose a question, does it not?
granny smith apple and cheddar sandwich is the best sandwich ever
cheese and apple sandwich's are the greatest sandwich ever
Go me the way to be!
