pretty good, yes? It seemed it from the open day today. Does/did anyone study there?
...and Surf'sUp is there at the moment.
but they have a mahooooooooooosive film library there, with a buncha out of print stuff, so i had to go there to watch a movie for my old film course.
it was called Inferno.
as the title screen came up, the fire alarm went off.
Lewisham is a fucking hole.
some people made it out to be the worst place ever. There are far worse places in east london.
it is abit 'stabby' though?
but I've always thought it looked great. One of my tutors is going to teach there next year I'm gutted , shes great.
anyway, yes it's good, one of the few london
unis with a "community" type thing, as in,
most london unis my mates went to they ended
up making about one friend from there.
New Cross is alright, lots of local gigs.
Plus its only 20min on a bus to the centre
of London. plus loads of girls go there if
that's your thing.
there seemed to be loads more girls than boys. nice.
I'm predicted 3 A's but realistically that isn't going to happen so 3 B's at Goldsmiths seems like a good bet. Also, it looks really different to all the other universities I've looked at.
then you will get very used to being around A BILLION girls and no boys
then apply there and goldsmiths and if they both accept you then put goldsmiths as the backup. but go where you'll be happy!
They start (even for home students) at £9k
and i'm super-cool
which is just down the road. This doesnt help you.
but a good friend of mine studies there and hates the place.
yes i went there, as did vikram and chunty also.
for any Goldsmiths application related questions, ask chunty as she used to also work in admissions there.
i did anthropology&communications.
i loved it there. so so much.
I did Music there, and the missus did English there, as did many of our friends...
One of them is now a journo for the N*E, Mrs. Doom got a first, and did some really interesting courses with some great lecturers...
As for the area, well, it's a bit shabby, and when we first moved there, there was a wipe clean yellow incident board to write the latest day's crimes on... but that's counter balanced by the studenty-ness, and you have the Montague, which is a fantastic pub, just down the road...
lovely stuff! Plenty of scenesters to giggle at and hot girls to fall in love with. The union gets some Ok gigs and there's plenty of bands (good and bad) on at The Montague, The New Cross Inn and The Amersham Arms. I'd recemmend coming for sure!
If it wasn't for the fact that your girlfriend HATES me and trusts me rather less than a thirsty gazelle would trust a vegatarian crocodile I'd have a good mind to inform her of this virtual macking epidemic!
You know my game is whack! I said that for the benefit of mr therapyrocks who if single will have the time of his young life!
making anything pleasant about it void.
2 King's College
But apparently its really 'studenty', which sounds awful.
But the assumptions people make about my actual personality are, whilst being fair and understandable, off the mark. DiS is a bit of escapism. Its where I can come to stop being such a lovely boy and get on everyone's nerves. I'm not a confrontational person in life life. I'll disagree with people who deserve it though.
But London needs me to be there. I want to go to Bloomsbury Bowling.
We both have millions of DiS haters, so we're probably meant to be.
How would you feel about me? I have dark ginger hair and I'm slender like a dolphin.
"Look out for Vikram. He'll be here somewhere."
And as if you never take the tube. Its well ard.
to the open day next week, interested in the Fine & Art and History of Art course. Is this a good one and where else is good for Fine Art in London?
heard that the Courtauld is the place to do History of Art although it never really appealed to me and I'd get bored just doing History of Art.
fine art and history of art, i'm in my first year
Lots more work than just a fine art degree but its really good, all the tutors are really interesting and knowledgable
everyone goes on about how rough new cross is but its really not that bad! i lived on a council estate in Leeds last year and compared to that its fine.
Loads of fit girls at Goldsmiths as well...too much competition for any of the boys i find.
i don't think so...apparantly they got rid of a lot of tutors last year because of 'funding cuts.'
i fancy two of my tutors...
all you need in a university is a giant metal squiggle thing
she thinks she can do better
hence her thinking
