Warhol's Brillo boxes, Campbell's soup etc
I'm trying to think of something to take my mind off the completely shit day I'm having, and my mind wandered to this
All this consumerist representation stuff that Warhol made way back when kinda confuses me. I kinda get why the various pieces are admired in the modern day, but I find it hard to figure out why exactly they were so respected back when they were produced
I mean, to look at them now you can see he created a snapshot of a certain time. And in that context it's really cool. But how comes so many people were into it back then?
I know nothing about these things, and I'm very tired. But I'm interested to try and learn a little about it
