Reach Up (Papa's Got A Brand New Pig Bag)
if there's a hell below (we're all gonna go)
Hey man, now you're really living.
for what I hope is a massively fun wake. None of this commiseration crap - one thing in life we are all certain of is death so may as well embrace it like other cultures do.
I want people to cry, dammit.
I'd pick Atmosphere by Joy Division.
by Living in a box
Biding my time by Pink Floyd. Stripper music at a funeral would be ace.
because of the organ sound and because it's so sad everyone would cry and I could feel loved at my funeral.
I flew in a plane a month ago, and I was convinced I was going to die in a crash, so I sent out a long message of things to do in case of death, here is the music part:
Please ensure that there are some bizarre songs at my funeral, include stuff from Ariel Pink, John Maus, but you have to play some funerary violin stuff by Wilhelm Kleinbach, just to fuck with people a bit. Oh and also please play "A heart for Amy" by TSIAMBSAI. I choose to burn too, when burning I want my ashes to be collected, and thrown out of an aeroplane with "ITAOTS" playing in the background - for cheesy effects.
I also insist on tears. I don't want one of these new wave happy funeral things, I want an old skool one. Preferably very OTT, hysterics would be great, like you see at black peoples funerals. Hitting themselves on the head and squealing, the more of that the better.
I also want it taping, and putting on youtube. I'll leave my login information in D:\deathwishes.txt
Also I will include facebook, myspace, and Oink information. Facebook, please change to "Dean is.....", then put in "dead", or "no longer with us". On Myspace change mood to sad, and send out a bulletin with this text on it. Also change to accept all comments, and allow bands to add me again. Then finally, with the Oink login, I should have 8 invites available. Use them wisely.
I think that is it.
If I don't die, then please ignore this text. I'm a good boy with pure intentions in life.
Oh, shit, I almost forgot. I want Z-cars playing as I go in to burn. Also play Rainbow Connection by the Muppets at some point.
the Facebook bit is my favourite.
by The Beach Boys.
by Terry Jacks. But there's always the risk of someone playing the Westlife version by mistake...

I lost the first message, and had to put it in again. Now both appear :(
and The Reputation of Ross Francis - My Latest Novel
like this written down. only one person knows where the note is. i'm often concerned about these things.
I think I just want to put them in my will.
by Katrina And The Waves
I WANT TEARS.
aahhhhh... i bet you didnt think it was that one! not russ abbott in an ironic way like you expected!
Nick Drake's 'Cello Song'.
I'd probably have Blood on the Motorway by DJ Shadow.
Boots of Spanish Leather by Dylan
So What by Miles Davis
Caspar Brotzmann Massaker - Koksofen
Sacre the shit out of everyone.
Last goodbye by jeff Buckley
or asleep by the smiths
Followed by Highway to Hell by AC/DC I want ut to end on an upbeat song.
Probably 'Everything Louder Than Everything Else' or 'Bat Out Of Hell.'
Ice Hockey Hair by Super Furry Animals. Don't know whether it should be when people are coming in or leaving though. Maybe i'll have Minerals Made Me by Bearsuit on the way in.
Abide with me
it made me cry
"Landlocked Blues" by Bright Eyes springs to mind but I've not really put much though into it.
Cursed Realms of the Winter Demons, or something.
Or possibly some really miserable Tindersticks song :)
dont dream its over by crowded house
