My friend was a member and he's really worried now. He downloaded quite a lot, maybe 20 gig, and his ratio was about 0.5.

Should he delete everything he downloaded?
Should he change his ip address?
Should he stop downloading altogether?
Is soulseek as risky?

His mum and dad are a bit worried as well, they've threatened to cut the Internet off for the whole family because they don't feel they can trust him.

Thoughts? I should point out that he does in fact buy a hell of a lot of music from independants and majors etc.
