how do I cook it?
Butchers' shops are awesome. I don't know why anyone buys meat from the supermarket.
with a bit of seasoning?
I thought you meant the pet kind.
skin it then roast it?
and headless. I think a stew is in order.
with smaller rabbits.
Maybe he'll luck out and it'll be pregnant anyway?
I opened it again.....
I'm not going to be able to eat again like ever.
of anyone killing and eating makes me feel semi-justified in setting fire to their houses. Rabbits, and deer. Completely, species-ist, hypocritical, I accept, but I just can't stand it. It makes me feel ill beyond belief just to think about it. We've had a rule since I was tiny that neither could be in our house, I once threw out the entire contents of our fridge because my aunt had put venison in it, and I was freaked everything would get contaminated. I've walked out of restaurants before because someone I've been with has ordered it. That's not supposed to be a high-and-mighty thing, just I could never sit near anyone who ate them. It's too horrible.
DEAD RABBIT BLOOD ON MY PLATE RABBITLIVER RABBITLIVER RABBITLIVER.
It's starts submitting my posts before I type?
so you might not accept reasoning on it. But as a former vegetarian, I'd rather eat rabbit/deer/other game than anything else. You can't really farm them, so they've had a happy life running around in fields and stuff, then they die instantly and they're nice and healthy and fresh.
Who wants to cook me some game?
or could you just not pass up the opportunity for a hiLOLrious pun?
The pun was a bonus. Having read Hugh FW's Guardian piece, I'm in the mood for rabbit stew. I'll investigate butchery options in my neck of the woods.
Gonna go to London Zoo and kill all the lions? THEY'RE MURDERERS!
Check the BBC website for recipes. It's the default option in hours of need.
has lots of recipes for rabbit. Get a copy from somewhere, or they may be on the website?
its often cheaper and, if you do the rest of your shopping there, much much quicker
and the good deals at butchers normally involve buying megabulk
this was going to be about vibrators?
I've never cooked rabbit. I'm very jealous, though, because it's delish. These recipes sound great:
I blame you. You've polluted my mind.
I fear I may be irredeemably tarnished. I'd like the court to take several other cases into consideration, including a few minutes ago in the Harry Potter thread when I giggled at PocketMouse's mention of the Hermione Interactive Wand.
I've just found that. Good work.
is my new favourite combination of words.
I thought this was about bunny rabbits and this has actually upset me.
I really have no idea why I am not a vegetarian, given my animal loving nature.
I may go visit a slaughter house shortly to change this.
*was going to ask you if it was one of those king dwarve rabbits and if it was big and floppy.
which is back legs and hips, abs, chest and front legs. these need splitting in half spineways.
when i have irabbit, i season it with flour, salt and pepper and fry it before stewing it.
additions: bacon, root veg etc.
also: hopefully you have its insides (liver, heart, kidneys, lungs etc). these are interesting for doing a little science invesitgation. the lungs are most interesting. you should, however, boil them for stock after you have played with them.
I might take it back and complain.
Also - I got 2 MASSIVE organic gammon steaks for 2 quid. butchers and greengrocers are my new favourite discovery.
