Jk rowling trying to make her book have a serious point. "oh, by the way, quidditch is a metaphor for suicide bombings, which are like... totally bad"
Lord Voldemort is Jewish, Ron is black and the muggles are actually Eastern European slave labourers.
and am now badly burned and coffee stained. bbc news need to prepare you for these kind of things. so much of a 'series finished, lacks diversity, lets just give a character a posthumous outing'...
i'm now both ouch-ing and laughing. dear god, who's ever going to be able to read a harry-dumbledore scene the same again? they were already bad enough.
months after the final book is released and when you're absolutely sure everyone in the world has bought it and no one will be repulsed by Dumbledore being gay, a "prolonged argument for tolerance"? Idiot.
saves me thinking i'm being attacked thanks.
or a spokesman for stonewall will:
"It shows that there's no limit to what gay and lesbian people can do, even being a wizard headmaster."
they can do literally ANYTHING! fly you to the moon and back - ANYTHING!
Haha, JK Rowling clearly just makes this stuff up on the spot. If she was going to out anyone it should have been Sirius/Remus who are clearly the ultimate Harry Potter OTP.
other team player?
i get it now. Sirius and Remus are. yes.
One True Pairing!
where he was hiding his broom !
"avoir un balai dans le cul" ( literally having a broom in the ass ) which means being high and mighty...
the most fucking ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Aaarrgggh this makes me hate JK Rowling even more!
the best news story ever.
of socialism which has been foisted on Europe and America for far too long now. Socialism goes hand in hand with satanism and homosexuality and other deviant behaviour. The blight of satanism was brought into peoples homes through liberals commissioning programs like The Adams Family and The Munsters aimed at corrupting family structure by breaking down discipline. Then after "the 60's" they blatantly aimed it at children with things like Scooby Doo. Now after brainwashing millions of children with witchcraft and satanism she says "it's ok to be gay", let's break down the traditional family unit and society as a whole and move in for the kill
Do you see that ?, that's a line drawn in the sand. Any of you degenerates try to cross it and I'll double barrel you
Introducing sexuality so strongly into a story aimed at very young children.
Its fantastic to see a modern phenomenon coming to terms with modern life though. We need more people in Rowling's position to embrace diversity within our civilisation, whether it be in sexuality or anything else.
he had a "stephen fry" quality about him, but i wouldnt have said he was gay.
the author's told a press conference (or something) that one of the characters of her book is gay. Its going to generate a lot of press, obviously.
If its not in the Mail on Sunday tomorrow, I'll eat my cat.
But they shouldn't have someone with such a mentoring role in the book as a homosexual. In the story, it puts all the young male children at risk of serious sexual abuse.
Are all heterosexual teachers supposed to be tempted by young female children ?
How long have you been on here, you moron?
outrageous! you've still got it wrighty! :D
She hasn't added a 20 page chapter on bare-backing.
and the tub of KY
I just find it interesting that an author can have so much power over the reader's interpretation. In any other situation, a book can become the intellectual property of the reader to some extent, but Rowling still exerts a godlike control over the books. I'm guessing that this comment is just the beginning of her trying to influence the minds of her readers. I wish that she would just leave the books be and let them live on their own and maintain their ambiguities that will encourage the reader's imaginations.
"It's good that children's literature includes the reality of gay people"
They are bearded wizards involved in a struggle between the forces of good and evil?
and they've all got AIDS
