dead aged 69, according to the BBC news ticker. That's The News Quiz stuffed.
I don't like his daughter's work though.

At least Robert Robertson is still alive, isn't he? OH NOT HIM NEXT JESUS PLEASE NO
Which is a shame, as no parental long journey seemed complete without his overemphasis and Reithian politeness: "the scores are FOUR to Mr Hibbert, SIX to Mr Waterman, SEVEN to Mrs Crabtree and ELEVEN to Mr Dickens. Well done, Mr Dickens!"
it's so true. also the varying emphases on the word 'no', viz.: 'Mr Appleby, what does the 'D' in 'MrJDTraynor' stand for?' 'Derek' 'NNnnnnoooooo. Mr Brainlove?' 'Didgeridoo' 'Nope. Mr Creakyknees?' 'Disco' 'NO! Mr ProleArtThreat?' 'De'Ath' 'YeeeEEEESSS!'
i was enjoying the new series of the new quiz too even if sandy togsvig is no simon hoggart.
a Matthew Hoggard
He's gay, did you know?
He's more a parent's thing though isn't he?
this is sad, I enjoyed him on Call My Bluff during my student days, although his perpetually blocked nose recently led me to fear he had become overly enthusiastic about er 'powdering his nose'. I feel a bit bad about that now, obv.
