Rated by 12 users and averages 4 out of 5. D'you reckon it's any good?
we went through this yesterday.
i just thought it strange that someone would think of mein kampf and go 'meh, 3 stars out of 5'
it's about a 1 star.
In terms of content it`s a no star.
In terms of interest/historical significance it might just be a 3.
But for more interesting/educational to watch his speeches on youtube or try and sit through Triumph des Willens.
I was looking at it on amazon earlier, in bizarre logic that I can't explain because of the tintin thread
own the copyright for it?
The author's been dead over 50 years. It's public now.
Is it even 50 years? Maybe it's 70.
Anyway, it's definitely a public domain thing now.
not sure why.
hopefully...though i think thats the case
i didn't manage to finish it. it's pretty badly written, rambling and dull. i probably got put on some kind of black list for ordering it off the internet.
and it also says here that you once grabbed the hind legs of a dog and ran it around like a wheelbarrow."
saying about how hitler had lied here or embellished the truth there.
one page seemed to be about 50% footnotes about how he was actually pretty crap at school.
still, as lying political figures go, he's probably worse than jeffrey archer.
although notes like:
*the author appears to have made this word up. there is no record of this word ever being used in the german language before or since.
made me chuckle. i'm not sure why.
told me it was really boring.
i find politician's autobiographies boring at the best of times, so there's no way i was ever going to buy that one...
Mein Kampfy chair.
great title I thought
