its a green racing bike and it was 60 pounds. its lovely. do you cycle?
I do when I'm not at university, I cycle pretty much everywhere at home (weather permitting).
But living in a city centre and by a massive train station, I don't need to.
Still, cycling is good - saves the pennies on public transport and works off some of those ciggies or pints or cakes or pies, etc.
and has fish on. It was £30. I cycle everywhere even though I am a bit sketchy on how roundabouts work.
and go when nothing is coming round. anything to your left has to wait for you.
do you ride on the inside lane as if you were in a car?
but on the road
a couple of weeks ago, I haven't had one since I was about 14.
I had a practice on it last weekend, I am rubbish. But I'm going to keep practicing until I am able to go in a straight line and stop gripping the handle-bars so hard out of fear.
every day, it takes me <10 minutes to get home from work on a good day which is ace. i've not been killed yet which is also good.
mine cost a lot, but i've only paid for about of a third of it so far, courtesy of my work.
i do want to get a road bike though for whizzing through the city, but i think i definitely would be more likely to get injured on one.
i hate the old street roundabout with a passion. and taxi drivers. and white van men. and motorcyclists and moped riders. and pedestrians. and other cyclists. all wankers. some bus and car drivers too.
took the wheels off my bike while it was parked outside my house. They left the wheels next to the bike so I don't even see what the point was. I still haven't got round to putting them back on.
Then nicking the bike later after you can't ride it home.
That coupled with the pollution, bad driving and general pre-work sweats is why I haven't given it a go in London as yet.
a really really good lock, or it's a goner inside 2 months
and ill lock it inside that. luckily norwich is relatively low on crime too.
primarily because it's so flat, so you can see ruffians and vagabonds coming from a long way away.
This might not be true.
you dont have to worry about getting mugged as much. although some kid did shout at me 'what the fuck do you look like!' or something the other day which wasnt nice.
to stop and do a self portrait.
Norwich - City of culture!
full of 'art lovers' shouting at me.
1. 30-40 minutes maybe
2. I don't
i cycle to work everyday up a massive hill. it only takes 15 mins there and 10 mins back though. it's good because in this weather i get to work hot, whilst everyone else is cold HAH. i wear a YELLOW helmet, and proper bike gloves so my hands don't freeze off. i really want a basket cus my bag hurts my back.
oh yeah my first bike got nicked 2 weeks after i bought it. it were such a beauty
this is him:
he's even moving to london with me!!!
