After many years, Abbot bought the performing rights to his hit Atmosphere, and refuses to allow it to be played on radio as he considers it to be a dire representation of his talents; however, many consider this to be a classic novelty hit (it spent two months in the UK Top 20 in 1984).
I mean, I've seen the Atmosphere video on VH1 when it used to show videos.
they used to show The Worst Videos Ever compilations and charts almost as often as Best Video Ever ones, and for god knows what reason they'd always include Bobby Conn's Never Get Ahead without explaining who this was or what was happening.
