American Television
Have you noticed how when you're watching documentaries or reality tele from across the pond, you tend to be ASSAULTED from ALL ANGLES?
They don't like to have footage of the same person talking for more than about two seconds. It always has to have some super-fast cut to something else then some massive zoom in on something then suddenly there's a cut to a crane shot swooping around somewhere and then a massive zoom and agh.
I was watching this thing where Larry King gets the remaining Beatles together, and rather than just showing them being interviewed, they'd cut to spinning stills of them performing and stuff. I hate it, passionately.
I think this is because Americans have short attention spans, on the whole. They want ACTION and they want it NOW.
Has anyone else noticed this? Its REALLY irritating when you can notice it. I wish I didn't.
