adecco want me to apply for a data entry job there for £7/hr
no no. I accepted a data entry position with them and it was a case of entering cheques onto this machine. THE MOST BORING THING ON EARTH. They're bad payers salary wise - very bad payers in fact and really don't give a fuck about their branch based staff.
Adecco do my wages and are always spot on
it was after I stupidly went permanent. I was on £8,500pa for 2 years. I had no problems with Adecco.
but my boss was on about £16k and she'd been there 35 years. Seriously, if it's branch based work I really wouldn't do it - if it's elsewhere it'll probably be better.
mind numbing, no internet access, but you were allowed your iPod on.
I actually miss it. I'd swap my current, slightly better paid, job for it with no hesitation.
Barclays Capital = excellent. Dunno about the branches though.
there an exposé about Barclays not so long back about how they are completely target-driven and you get sacked and forcefed wasps if you don't convince people to spend money on stuff?
And didn't they make all sorts of charges to accounts that weren't authorised?
If it wasn't them, then it was someone else
You will have to go through a pointless screening exercise to check you are not a financial renegade to get the job, but strangely not to check if you're a BBC reporter with a history of going undercover
but I'm told the top boss here was one of the people majorly responsible for the recent massive 'credit crunch' in the states.
by, like, people who work here.
you go into any large bank and there will be plenty of departments that are target-driven. It's obvious, and kinda makes sense (from a business point of view) when you think about it. It won't be like that all across the board at Barclays, such as doing data entry
hope that helps.
