I interviewed the guy and wrote a piece on it here:
also Dave Gorman and Art of the State have better pictures than I have. They're linked in the article but actually I'll edit it and stick links at the bottom. Cheers :)
since working in east london I've always wondered about EINE.
also, Rich Mix is up the spout for various reasons, one being because their management is so retarded and also probably because people don't go back to hold events there as they offer such a rubbish package.
I don't know much about Rich Mix but their cinema is probably the nicest in London, maybe the nicest I've ever been to.
OR, stops defacing shit
is pretty much what this comes down to
that he only asks the permission of shops whose shutters are already tagged to shit by other graffiti-ers. The first six didn't have permission but they were also on disused shops and yet again, they're covering up a far messier thing with a very bold design employing very few colours.
They haven't picked up much graffiti since so in a way it's actually stopping people from defacing the shops.
In short, he has permission to do the shutters he does and shops ask him to do it. He's not defacing anything.
but I reserve the right to be really fucking grumpy today. He should fucking stop it
you have no rights at all.
Have you not read the DiS Charter?
need to sort out sodding iTunes first. Plus, I never actually got to play yours, as seconds after downloading everything the PC kept telling me that it couldn't actually locate any of the files. Is there any way you can transfer it to wax cylinder and send it to me?
Seriously, they're well cool.
Good article man!
Shame you can't embed photos...
I just don't want to be faffing around asking for permission to use other people's really.
aah, understood. Well, even if yours are shit quality, a couple would be useful to remind people what they are
Great article though. I'll send it to mon bird
good work, Theo.
...had CUNT and SHITHEAD sprayed across the entire front of his house. He must have really pissed someone off.
I sprayed a witty reposte on the shutters of the closed down chippy when I lived in one of the charming areas I mentioned yesterday. It was photographed and featured in the Glasgow Herald. Then a street theatre was named after it and a song written. I wasn't aware this was happening at the time. One of the local shellsuited fucktards claimed my handywork was his and was interviewed by the Glasgow Herald about it. When I found out I asked for this to be rectified and they refused
As you were, sigh
What did you write on them?
have you no shame ?
thanks Theo x
