Very funny, especially when you do nothing wrong.
over the new prices.
I told him in a nice calm tone, that he was wrong and to not take offence at me for charging him what I did, I was just doing my job and the new prices were on the wall in plain view for him to see.
He didn't like my tone, so took my name over to the higher powers.
I love how angry social club members get over small change.
I work in a library and it's always the people who owe about 30p that bitch the most. Twats.
"It's only 30p, can't you let it slide this once?"
It's the same people again and again. We've had it all, red-faced shouting. Best one was a couple of weeks ago "I resent paying money to you rats!". Seriously, rats? What the fuck?
I'd have ended up telling him to be more punctual with his returning of books.
Or the reverse of their argument.
If it's only 30p, just give me it, it's not going to bankrupt you.

"All pints went up by 4p."
"Yes, I know."
"And you ordered two pints."
"So it's an extra 8p, where's your argument?"
He still thought he was right!

Old people are generally masters of complaining. That and being racist and pushing in queues.
"i hope you go out and get raped tonight" at work once.
and offering to send someone round to flog him rlllyy expensive windows.
I used to work for zenith staybrite.
People are GREAT.
though i was a little scared walking home at 9PM
that might just be living in portsmouth though
If I'd have been taken over to the office about it and 'told off' I think I would have had to hold back some serious laughter. It would have actually made my day.
Portsmouth that bad, eh?
reminds me why i try not to work with the public.
I don't care...
jobs are such a hassle man!
did you not read that report that said french people had to be nicer else all the tourists would stop going to france? you HAVE to care what the customer thinks...else they will chuck you out or something,
When I was shadowing a saleswoman for a day making notes. I think she thought I was going to write a report about how bad a job she was doing.
It got taken really seriously and was probably the worst experiences of my career so far :(
