chips ARE cheap!
and so are peanuts.
but the oven warm jam donuts at the sainsbury's on borough highstreet do sell out way too quick. i have to buy in bulk and store them in my desk drawer :(
that this expression just meant hot cakes (freshly bakes and still hot). I thought hotcakes were a particular kind of cake for years. I was dying to try them, seeing as they sold out so fast, they must be yummy.
i still think that hotcakes are a thick pancake or something
toasted ones at that, but that's silly, because they aren't hotcakes, they're toasted tea cakes.
and there was me worrying that this thread was a mistake!
Cakes that are hot!
straight outta the oven fairy cakes?
I love when they're still melted from the oven.
not a cake
as I typed.
if it's under priced? i would assume that you get more than what you paid for, is that a bargain?
is a bit of a tautology because you literally always get what you paid for in a transaction, but the phrase is usually used as a way of saying, quality costs more and is worth it. Whereas a lot of the time, things that cost more lack sufficient quality to justify the price.
That said, I am usually found on the side of saying buy what you want and forget the price, because I like to splash out money on nice things whenever I can.
"chips are real!
and so are peanuts."
I think the sun has gone to my head.
but it wouldn't make for the most interesting thread if that was the case.
