never drink this drink. ok? great
i had the worst hangover ever, but it didnt get reactivated.
apparently its an apperitif, for sipping. not for doing double shots of or for mixing with jack daniels. i was sick for the first time in about 4 years.
ricard, pastis, pernod.... i had half a bottle at zonino and was fine.
actually when i said i was fine, I actually meant I was very very drunk.....but happy

i woke up face down in a bed with all my clothes on. with two men. who were in their pants.
i drank these drinks (in no particular order):
vodka + redbull
This means I have to dislike you now.
and it tastes like arsedeath!!
spirits should be drunk at the correct strength 70% proof, only women and children should be allowed a mixer
and most other spirits are 80proof
if you absolutely feel the need. I cant remember exactly but loads of spirits are 70% proof or 37.5% by volume (ore is it 35?) the bottle of plymouth gin in front of me is 41.2 by volume which will be more than 70% proof......more spirits strengths are now available from the supermarkets.
I especially like 100% proof (55% by volume) stuff....some absinthe, chatreuse or overproof rum....feel the burn baby
I seem to remember having loads of polish 100% proof vodka.
In the old days if, by adding mixers and flavours, the strength of a drink had been diluted, you could bump it back up again using something you could get in smaller bottles, called polish spirit (140% proof) Yay! not seen it for years......gotta admit that I cannot drink this though.too much burn lots of hicuping
is ricard supposed to be some sort of version absinthe?
if your a real man (i.e. a machismo twat) then you will attempt to drink it neat.
Ricard and Pernod are really just proprietory versions of a drink that is generically known as Pastis on the continent
you see when its coloured? thats to show they've added some sickener shit to it so that you cant drink it.

and you have managed to single out the ricard for the blame eh?
honestly (i know this is unscientific but I have age on my side) what I find is that illness does not come from mixing spirits but from mixing types of drinks like beers/wines or spirits.
also from not drinking loads of water before beddy byes.
Stuff like red wine contains somethings like 'cogeners' (as does brandy.....these are particularly good at creating hangovers, specially when mixed with lager (i find)
I would have thought that the Jack Daniels looked like the biggest possible culprit
that is was mixed with the ricard.

cos of the smell, which will appear to be the defining characteristic of that particular sicking.......if you are sick, then yes drink more water
that although you have got rid os some of the toxin (alcahol) you are now possibly more dehydrated.
Dehydration is one of the major constituants of thne hangover headache....more water makes your kidneys get rid of the alcohol more efficiently.......dobt go crazy with the water you dont want to end up like leah betts. mo more than a couple of pints....although if your really bladdered then water drimnking might seem onerous
along woth any other similar drink which turns water cloudy. my fave summer tipple long with ice and such.
is an awful drink.
you wouldnt eat it with food obviously.......well no maybe you would......some of that stronger pastis (bout 45^% by volume) to accompany wasabi nuts.......
1) cheaper than pernod?
2) nice if you like aniseed
3) keeps mouth/breath fresher (because of aniseed)
4) makes you drunk next day too
5) if you put it into a plastic water bottle and try to get into a club then the colour of it is not immediately like normally smuggled in drinks.....it looks more like wee, bouncers dont really want to investigate or take possession of it.
