The best B side (as in, not subs/reserves) in the world?
'Black Holes for the Young' by the Manic Street Preachers.
That's fucking shit.
Though I would do Sophie Ellis Bextor. Perfectly square head or not.
need to watch the self satisfied smugness that has occurred in recent weeks, or they'll be just as hated as Chelsea.
Except it's not self-satisfied smugness, is it?
Because their good results have come from a combination of carefully moulded skill, prudent investment and great strategic nous without the benefit of ridiculous foreign sugar-daddies to just buy silverware.
And also because a football team is incapable of expressing individual character traits like smugness.
the exact thing I am talking about. Actually, are you taking the piss? Cos, it's a remarkable answer otherwise.
"Careful investment" mmm mmwwh whhmm SMUG
I was talking about the fans. Clearly.
Oh, well. Arsenal fans seem smug to fans of other teams in the same way that Jazz afficiandos seem smug to people who like Justice.
Because deep down people who like Justice know they have shitty taste, but lack the culture to just take the step into learning to play upright bass.
...great analogy, no?
That was a rhetorical question. Obviously it was the best analogy this forum has ever seen.
As a non-supporter I can tell you there is nothing funnier than fans of one team thinking their shit doesn't stink like everyone elses.
All fans are the same about their team and are massively 'anti' the other teams. The only 'fans' I've ever met who are clearly out and out nob-ends, though, are the ones who just support a popular team and seem to be the cause of people hating that team extra-specially (e.g. Man U in the mid-90s).
But yeah, otherwise it seems sportsmanship stays on the pitch only.
If you say so. Bear in mind that Italy arguably didn't have the best players in the last world cup, but they did win that trophey. So perhaps highly subjective individual ratings don't count for everything?
P.S. There's no 'perhaps' about it.
best midfield out of the two sides it'd be Gattuso, Pirlo, Fabregas, Kaka.
He was Arsenal, right?
etc. ad infinitum.
There are what - 92 teams in Britain's professional leagues?
It's so rare that any of those would have been so ridiculously clouded in optimism, ever. So when it happens... 'course we're gonna be smug.
Custodians of the english tradition make good against the offo johnny's.
It's a film.
he was just shit
but their reserves. A talented bunch, granted - but it's so much easier to find talented players when cherry picking them from around the world than your local area. Very few of last night's side would have come through Arsenal's academy. A lot of them were picked up after coming through the ranks elsewhere, and Wenger's taken them to the next level.
I remember when you were good. You made going to Millwall enjoyable.
Lots of love,
he scared Championship defences rigid, and single-handedly won us games at Millwall and home to Luton. I'd have him back in a heartbeat
I don't support Arsenal, but hey free ticket, and I HATE THE GEORDIE SCUM BAGS. HA IT WAS SOOOOO FUNNY WHEN THE DOLE SCUM LOST.
Also I put a bet on Arsenal to win the second half 2-0, so I left the ground a cool £25 better off
it's mad gambling speak for when you have rinsed the evil Ladbrokes
WHO WANTS MOET?
